How to play

1. Pick a colour. Tap a part of the diya to colour it. Drag stars, gems and flowers onto the diya. Tap Done.
2. Tap each little diya on the house to light it.
3. Colour the rangoli the same way. Try the Gold sparkle! Tap Done.
4. Type your name and watch the twinkling lights write Diwali wishes in the sky.

For teachers

• Works on the smart board, a laptop or a phone. Use Full screen on the smart board; children can come up one by one to colour and light the lamps.
• Open About Diwali first and tell the story of Diwali. Talk about the message: to check pollution, say no to crackers. In this game the sky is lit with lamps and stars, not crackers.
• Before the class, children can do the same activities in the book: decorate the Deepak (World Around Me Level 1, p. 95) and paste the diya sticker (Giant Book of Paste and Colour, p. 37).
• The Help me button shows what to do next. Play again starts over for the next child.
